Anything Goes at LMM

It's time for a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet. This time we have an easy peasy lemon squeezy one for you. Anything Goes!

For my card this week, i've used this cute little Monster Birthday Balloon, available in rubber in the store HERE.
I wanted to use a bright colour palette to urge Spring to hurry up a bit. My favourite flowers are daffodils (and are my birthday flowers too) so I chose the main colours of yellow and orange.
The patterned paper is by Provocraft, from the 'tags, bags, boxes & more' paper pad.
The flowers were die cut using Die-namics flower and leaf trio. The big brads in the centre of the flowers? i've had those almost as long as I have been making cards! They are by Dovecraft, and are all pastel colours, but I do wish i'd had a couple of big orange brads so that my flowers looked a little more daff-like.
The orange felt ribbon was from my stash and was just the right length to go across my card. Love it when that happens! lol
There's more loveliness from the Little Misses over on the challenge blog.

I'm entering this card at:
I {heart} Promarkers - use dies not punches
Crafting By Designs - colours of spring
Crafty Creations - keep it simple

Thanks for stopping by today. xx

Birthday Brew

This is this week's sketch over at I {heart} sketches on the From The Heart blog :)

Isn't it lovely? I had to have a play.
To me, this sketch looks feminine (must be the scallops), but I wanted to do something different and go masculine with it...

I've used Birthday Brew by From The Heart Stamps.
The zig-zag paper is by Bazzill Basics (Nordic Pines), and the woodgrain paper is by Basic Grey (Life of the Party). I popped up both the top zig-zag piece and the image with foam pads.
The sentiments came with the image, this is one of the great things about buying an image from FTH, you get great sentiments with them too! :)

I'd like to enter this card at:
From The Heart - sketch 55
Craft Your Passion - black, white, red & kraft
Creative Inspirations - it's a boy thing

Thanks for looking ;) xx

Grumps' Budgie

Grumps is the nickname my kids call my Dad (a play on Gramps).
Now, Grumps doesn't have a budgie, i'm guessing he did as a child though, my great aunt bred them, but it's a standing joke in the family that the only thing that he can draw is a budgie, lol.
So as his birthday is coming up and Jake needed a card to give his Grandad, I decided to colour up FTH's Birthday Candle Birdbrain again (can't get enough of these little dudes), this time, I coloured him especially for Dad...

I used this pic off of google for reference...

Well, it's close enough I suppose! lol

The sentiment came with the image, and there's another inside the card, Jake chose "it's just another birdday".
The striped paper is by EK Success, designed by Stacy Claire Boyd, although i'm not sure what the actual 12x12 sheet is named as the strip at the bottom with the info has already been cut off years ago, this paper is at least 7 or 8 years old.
Grumps is cut with die-namics By the Letter dies using a brown wood effect paper from Basic Grey, Life of the Party pad.

I'd like to enter this card at:

FTH sketch challenge

You may realise by now that I am a fan of the Birdbrains by From The Heart Stamps.
Well I coloured another up today :)
I wanted to join in with the I {heart} Sketches challenge, here's the sketch...

http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/2014/02/17/i-heart-sketches-54/

This time I've used an image from FTH's Football Fanatics collection.

This particular image has a blank sign option, so I added the text on my pc.
I wanted to make a card for my friend's husband who is a Baggies' fan (West Bromwich Albion).
WBA's colours are blue and white stripes, and is why I thought this sketch would work so well.
Now, here's where I made a bad decision. I decided to use blue and silver mirror card, but now I wish I hadn't. I should have used blue and white card stock for the stripes on the right instead of the mirror, because it just doesn't look right to me. I like the embossed blue piece on the left though (tiny bubbles folder).

I used a quickutz football die for my embellishment. The little scraps of patterned paper are Bazzill Basics, from the Dino-mite pad.

As well as the I {heart} sketches challenge, i'd also like to enter this card at:

Crafting By Designs - just for boys
Crafty Little Fairies - one for the boys
Crafty Cardmakers - come fly with me (use a bird)

Feline lead balloon

This image makes me smile. I just had to colour it up for today's inspiration post for Little Miss Muffet.

This is Feline Lead Balloon, and is available as a digi in store now.
I was originally going to go monochromatic for this card but decided it would look better (to me anyways) with a pop of colour, and it's not often I use orange.
The image is coloured with promarkers, then I used a white gel pen and a pencil to create the scratches on the balloon.
The paw prints around the edge of the base card were stamped using an inchie stamp from a company called Tanda Stamps - unfortunately, they aren't in business anymore. I deliberately stamped the prints lightly, I didn't want solid paw prints.
I did however, want to add silver brads to the corners, but I don't have any silver ones in my stash anymore - something i'll have to rectify ;) - so I used gold ones instead.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Allsorts Challenge - use brads
Crafty Creations - keep it simple

Another Birdbrain...

...I'm loving colouring up these Birdbrain images by From The Heart Stamps.

This one is Birthday Candle Birdbrain, I bought it so that I could join in with this months Stamp of the Month challenge.

I've coloured Birdbrain with promarkers as is usual for me.
I shall be adding the name of the recipient of this card at the top before sending it out.
I've teamed him up with that lovely starry paper again from the Dino-mite pad by Bazzill Basics.
The sentiment came with the image, along with lots of others to choose from. I decided on this on the inside...

Cute Chicklets

I bought myself the Cute Chicklet Love Collection from Digistamp Boutique last month. So today, I thought it's about time I coloured one of the images in, and with my parents anniversary coming up next month, I decided on this adorable image...

Lovely isn't it? and a dream to colour too.
After colouring and distressing the edges, I played about with different layout ideas, moving papers around etc. Then I thought it would be nice to make an easel card, which I haven't done for a while.

I've used a few dies and punches on this card, Marianne's scalloped heart set, Marianne's stencil leaves, Lea'bilities ornate frame, 2 different sized heart punches, and SU's eyelet border punch.
The papers used are from MME's life of the party pad (stripes) and First Editions Nordic Christmas (hearts).
The sentiment is by All Night Media.
As you can see, I embossed the large dusky pink heart with a paisley folder, and added a bit of bling with some pale blue crystal gems.

I'm entering this card at:
DigiStamp Boutique - February challenge
Crafting By Designs - Anything for love
Creative Inspirations - Love
Cute Card Thursday - Clever Cutting.
Crafty Catz - Love is in the air
Papertake Weekly - With a heart
Passion for Promarkers - have a heart

I haven't decided yet whether to put 'Mom & Dad' or 'Nan & Grandad' on the bottom of the base beneath the greeting, that will depend on which card my son wants to give them after i've made the other card.

EDIT 18/02 :  woohoooo!

Happy Birthday LMMS

This month we are celebrating with Barbara & Little Miss Muffet for the store's 3rd Birthday.

Today we have a birthday challenge over on the LMM Blog. To join in, let's see your cards or projects use a birthday sentiment and/or an image with a balloon. Here's mine...

This cute image is one of the Birthday Releases out last week, all 10 feature balloons, so are perfect for this challenge.
This one is called Jack With Balloons, and is available as a digital stamp in the store. I coloured the image with my promarkers, but did use a couple of SU markers for the finer detailing on the grass and on the toadstool, and used a white gel pen to make the 'dandelion clocks'.
The papers used are actually christmas ones, Dovecraft's Back To Basics - Modern Christmas.
The sentiment is a stamp by Inkadinkado.
I've used my new Marianne die again for the swirly leaves and finished off the card with some red crystal gems.

Pssst! Would you like a FREE digi or rubber stamp?.... of course you would!
You will receive Celebrate Balloons in a digi format if you spend over $10 on other digis.
If rubber's your thing, then you will receive the rubber version if you spend over $20 on other rubber stamps in store. Great eh?
If you'd prefer to buy the image on its own though, then you can do that too, both in rubber or as a digi.
I've made a gift tag using this image...

I put my green, red & yellow promarkers away and got out my pinks and purples for this tag.
Once coloured, finishing the tag was quick to do, just simple layering, a bit of punching at the corners, then tying the co-ordinating ribbons and the glittery cord on it.
Are you itching to colour up this image too? Go get yours for FREE with your next purchase ;)

But that's not all!
You can get another, separate FREE image too, all you'll need to do to claim yours is to grab the coupon code from our Facebook Group before heading to the store. Simples!

For Evie

Here's a card i've made to celebrate a little girl's first birthday...

I've used my favourite Mo image for this card, Spit Happens.
The pink heart paper is from a DoCrafts me 2 you paper pad and the purple dotty paper is by Dovecraft.
I've added punched shimmer vellum daisies with gems to their centre for the jewel effect.
The hearts, swirly fronds and leaves were cut using Marianne dies, and 'Evie' was cut using Die-namics By The Letter dies, still waiting for stock of the number dies so I used an uppercase 'M' and trimmed it down for the 1 ;)

I'd like to enter this card at:
ABC challenge - DT call
Simon Says Stamp - have a heart
Mo's Challenge - J is for...just adorable & jewels
MAWTT _ use vellum or parchment

Dudley's balloon.

Little Miss Muffet Stamps is celebrating its 3rd birthday this month, with the party lasting all month long, there'll be new images, prizes, special offers and deals to be had by all. You can find more information on the LMM Blog, or grab a daily deal now over at the LMM store, oooh and pop in to see us on our Facebook group too.

Today is Birthday Release day, and let me tell you that you're gonna love these new images! ;)
I'd like to introduce you to Dudley...

This adorable fella has his balloon, ready to join the party, which is handy because this image is called Dudley's Balloon lol
It's normally hard to choose which image to use for my card, and although I was spoilt for choice this time too, as I live in a town called Dudley, I immediately knew which one was going to be coloured up first this time :)
I've paired Dudley with 2 papers from a Bazzill Basics pad called Dino-mite.
The leafy swirls were cut from green shimmer paper using a Marianne Die.
The sentiment is by From The Heart Stamps, I thought it was perfect for a dinosaur image lol :D

I'd like to enter Dudley at:
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Paper Makeup Digi Makeover - anything goes
Catch The Bug Challenge - anything goes
I Love Promarkers - birthdays

Thanks for looking, and don't forget to check out what the Little Misses have made with this fun new release too!

William

This card could not have been made without Barbara.
I was asked to make a card for a little boy who loves to play with his building blocks, "Modern and cute please", so I asked Barbara if she could help me out by drawing another PDP cutie that suited my needs, and let me tell you, she rocked it and drew him exactly how i'd imagined him to be, despite her busy schedule. Thank you Barbara, you're the best! xx....

This is William, he's been released today along with Lottie over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I teamed William up with this lovely starry paper from Bazzill Basics called Dino-mite, it's such an excellent quality paper that it's almost like card stock.
'William' has been cut using Die-namics By the Letter dies, and did you notice? That's an uppercase 'W' you see there, yes, I finally got my uppercase alphabet, happy girl here :)

As you're here, let me tell you about our month long Lucky Dip Daily Deal too...
$10 for a surprise selection of Digis, or $15 for a surprise selection of rubber stamps.
There's a new deal every day with each day's package being different.
How fabulous is that eh?

Thanks for looking, and I hope you love William as much as I do :)

Mmmm... Choklit!

This is the other Birdbrain Chick image I bought from From The Heart Digital Stamps.
This one is called Chocolate Box Birdbrain...

You get the separate choccy images, and you also get 3 fantastic sentiments, the other 2 are:
"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt"
and "If chocolate is the answer...the question is irrelevant"
LOL Brilliant! :)

As with the other Birdbrain card that I made, I kept the design simple, choosing a spotty paper from Basic Grey (life of the party) for the background.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Totally Papercrafts - clean and simple
Paper Makeup Digi Makeover - anything goes
Catch The Bug Challenge - anything goes
Crafting When We Can - food
Crafty Catz - anything goes

I thoroughly enjoyed colouring these images, hope you like them, thanks for stopping by today :) x

Hic!

The other day, I treated myself to a couple of new images from the Birdbrain Chick selection at From The Heart Digital Stamps. I had time to colour them up today. This brilliant image is called Martini Chicks...

LOL isn't it great?! :)
You get a couple of sentiments with it, which are separate from the image itself so you don't have to use either one if you don't want to. But I chose to use this one as it's so funny :)
Being digital also means that I can print it out in any size I want, and this time I decided that I wanted to keep my card CAS, with the image and sentiment being the main attraction of the card.
Apart from my promarkers, the only other items used were white card stock, green shimmer paper and glue!

I'd like to enter this card at:
Totally Papercrafts - clean and simple
Paper Makeup Digi Makeover - anything goes
Catch The Bug Challenge - anything goes
Totally Gorjuss - sunny colours
Crafty Catz - anything goes

my second card is up next...

Birthday Bunny

White Rabbits!
February 1st...can somebody tell me what happened to January? whooosh! and it was gone.
Although it does now mean that my birthday is just 4 weeks away :)

I don't have a white rabbit to show you today but I do have a grey one.
It's Super Saturday over at Little Miss Muffet, so that means a special offer in the LMM store, where you can buy some rubber at a reduced price until Wednesday.
This is Birthday Bunny, and is one of my favourite LMM images (you might have guessed that from my watermark)...

Bunny has been coloured with promarkers, as is usual for me.
The backing paper is by Prima, from their 'Forever Young' pad, one of my new purchases from Craft Mojo.
The plain(ish) band across the card is a strip of Fancy Pants paper, free with a craft magazine from a year or 2 ago.I found this piece in my scraps tub and was delighted that the colour matched nicely.
The sentiment is from TLC Creations.
I've left the label on the image of the gift blank so that the initial of the person who will receive this card can be added to it when the card is written out.

Do you LOVE a challenge? then check out our current challenge over on the LMM blog ;)
Talking of challenges, i'd like to enter bunny at:
Crafty Catz - anything goes
Passion for Promarkers - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - something new (the prima paper)

Enjoy your weekend xx
