sketch saturday #114

It's Saturday, so it's time for a new sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

This is my DT card this week...

I've used Stampin Up 'Tea Party' DSP, such pretty colours don't you think?
The adorable kitten image is a free one from Sliekje digi stamps
There are absolutely LOADS to choose from!
I've used my favourite SU boho blossoms punch for the flowers, plus the scalloped edge punch which I then punched a small hole in each scallop with my cropodile for the top edge of the piece around the image. The sentiment is from a SeeD's set.

My fellow SS teamies have produced some stunning work this week, please go visit them on their blogs, their links, as always, are in my sidebar :) >>>

No Sweet Stampin card from me this week as it's Team Faye's turn to inspire you, this week there's a fab sketch to follow, and Team F have made the most gorgeous cards, but don't take my word for it, go see for yourself! ;)

Thanks for stopping by today xx

Saturday challenges DT work

It's Saturday, so time for two new challenges from Sketch Saturday & Sweet Stampin.

Firstly, my Sweet Stampin card...

The theme this week is 'vintage' I hope that my card fits the bill as all i've really done is distress everything, although I suppose it could be vintage wine eh?
The stamp used is by Inkadinkado and is called 'Wine and Cheese'
I've used Laura Ashley 'traditional' patterned paper with very vanilla & mellow moss SU cardstock, the sentiment is by SU too, from their 'oval all' stamp set.
The cream lace is from my stash.

This month our sponsor is Quixotic Paperie and you could win £15 to spend in their fab store!

To see more vintage yumminess, please go see what the rest of my sweet stampin teamies have made :)

Now, onto my Sketch Saturday CARDS
I have made 2 this week as I found the sketch quite a quick & easy one to use, and as my back is gradually getting better I was able to sit and create :)

This week we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs,
Fab digis that feature cute and whimsical designs of cuddly critters, adorable kids, and more.
These adorable digi stamps are created by Melissa Jenkins and are available exclusively at Whimsy Stamps.

The Sketch Saturday DT were very kindly given some images to work with,
I've used Bubble Bath Bunny and Firefly Fairy for my cards.
The beautiful papers are from SU, bashful blue patterns pack (bunny card) and a paper pack by My Mind's Eye called 'quite contrary' (fairy card).

You too could get to play with some of Meljen's Designs if you are our winner this week because the prize is FOUR digis of your own choosing from any of Melissa's fab designs!

To see some stunning creations please go see what my friends have made,
their links are in the right sidebar, or you can see them altogether by visiting Sketch Saturday.

Thanks for dropping by, hope you all have a fab weekend xx

Sketch Saturday #112

This weeks Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts and you could win £15.00 to spend in the store if you are this weeks challenge winner! :)

Apologies for my DT card being late this week, I've been having a rough time lately with sharp back pain and haven't been able to sit for long periods of time, so this card has been a gradual make.

well, better late than never, here's my card...

This oh so cute image is a freebie from Motivet,
awwwwww you could forgive this little cutie if he dug up a flower couldn't you?
The papers are from different companies, the brown is by dovecraft, the green is by my minds eye, the pink is by stampin up, and the spotty paper is by funky hand.
The flowers were made using my favourite SU boho blossoms punch, and the sentiment is from SU's 'best yet' stamp set.

As you may have already seen, the rest of the fabulous SS DT have created some stunning examples to show you, if you want to take another look, then please use the links in the sidebar >>>

Thanks for stopping by,
enjoy the rest of your week :)

Winged Things!

That's the challenge theme this week over at Sweet Stampin.
Here's my card using 3 more of those stunning papers from C&P/My Minds Eye...

aren't they beautiful?
I can make 2 more cards similar to this using the same papers but in a different order ;)
The image is by Penny Johnson for Stampavie and is called 'Butterfly Bear', again I used my SU markers to colour in the image.

You'll be blown away by the beautiful creations made by my fellow Sweet Stampin teamies on Team Emma, you can see them by clicking on the links over there >>>

Have a wonderful weekend! xx

Sketch Saturday #111

Don't you think that the weeks are just flying by?
Thank you to all of you who joined in with Sem's DT week last week, what a fabulous reponse! :)
This week we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, one of our wonderful regular sponsors, and as always they are offering this weeks winner a whopping $25.00 to spend in their fabby store :)

Here is my card for this weeks challenge...

The patterned paper is from a 36 sheet pad that I got in this months C&P magazine, they are by My Minds Eye, and are called 'quite contrary', they are gorgeous papers, I have used 3 other designs from the same pad on my other card for Sweet Stampin today.
The rose red pieces were SU cardstock that I stamped a pattern onto so that it didn't look too plain.
The image is 'Maggie with Dotty Scarf' by Sugar Nellie, I've coloured her in with my SU markers.
The greeting is by SU too, from their 'Yummy' stamp set.
I added a few gems to finish the card.

The totally fabulous design team have some stunning examples to show you, please go to Sketch Saturday to see!

back in a minute with the Sweet Stampin card that I was telling you about ;)

Sem's sketch!

Yep! the lovely Simonne has provided us with a sketch this week over at Sketch Saturday... cos it's DT week!
And this week our fabulous sponsor is...

This is a brand new rubber stamp company and our lucky challenge winner this week will win 2 brand new not yet released rubber stamps! how fab is that eh?! :)

I used one of my new stamps that I received as a RAK from Lisa & PaperWorks Co, this is Carlos the crab, isn't he lovely? It's hard to tell but I stamped and coloured him twice, the second image I cut out just his eyes, claws and body to add extra dimension onto the first image with foam pads.
The bubble background paper I made myself on PSP but you can't see the bubbles very well in the photo, sorry. The 'driftwood' paper was also made on PSP but once printed out I stamped over it with pumpkin pie and old olive ink using a stamp from a set called Pocket Silhouettes by Stampin Up.
The 'starfish' was made using my SU star punch, I trimmed the ends to round them off a little, then scored and sponged it to try to resemble a starfish.
The dewdrops in the bottom left corner are from my stash, and the sentiment is computer generated.

As always the SS DT have worked their socks off and provided you all with wonderful work to feast your eyes on,
links can be found over there >>>

No Sweet Stampin card from me this week, it's Team Faye's turn to delight you, the theme this week is "Pearls and Pins" and the girls have made some gorgeous examples to show you. CLICK HERE to see for yourself.

Ok, that's me for today, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a fab weekend :)

I have decided to put all the sketches that I have designed into one place.
They are grouped together with 5 sketches to a post, so I'll update the blog every 5 sketches.

I have decided to not allow comments, this isn't to be nasty, but to keep the blog purely for the sketches, kind of a 'sketch library' lol
I might add a cbox or a guest book though eventually.

Please click on the logo if you would like to take a look, thanks...
