Brown, Blue & Green...

We have a colour combo for you this week over at Sweet Stampin.
Brown, Blue and Green

I had the perfect paper in my stash for my DT card this week...

It's by EK Success, designed by Stacy Claire Boyd, this particular sheet is from her Mod Squad collection and is named 'Leaf it'
I have had this paper for at least 3 years though so if you would like it for yourself I couldn't tell you where to get it from nowadays (sorry), but at least you know the name of it if it will help in your search :)

I wanted this beautiful paper to remain eye catchingly gorgeous so decided not to embellish the card with 'extras', I think the cute birdie image by SU (fun & fast notes set) is just lovely and is just enough to finish the card. I really like this simple card.

My fellow sweet stampin teamies (Team Emma) have created more stunning DT work this week, please go take a look for yourself, and then, how about you show us your Brown, Blue & Green colour combo entries, we'd love to see how you interpret the challenge this week.

Have a lovely weekend! xx

A gift for a friend

This week, I haven't made a card for Sketch Saturday, I have a mini album to show you instead.
This weeks sketch was used for the front cover...

I am going to give this to my friend for her birthday, I have a confession, her birthday was last week! I've been pre-occupied with other stuff recently so although I did wish her a happy birthday on the day via facebook, I failed to get this made & posted to her on time, I hope she likes it enough to forgive me for sending it late.

The gorgeous papers are Bella Bleu by Stampin Up
The beautiful Tilda image was stamped for me by my friend Terry (thanks Terry!)
and I coloured her with SU markers, adding a bit of glitter to her pretty pink hair bow.
The sentiment is also by SU, from their Whimsical Words stamp set.
The pearls are from my stash.

I thought I had some ivory satin ribbon to add to the book rings, but I don't :(
or if I do I can't find it! I found white ribbon but it didn't look right at all, so unfortunately the rings will have to remain bare, i'm sure my friend will jazz them up though!

Want to see some delightful DT work? then please go see the stunning creations made by my fellow teamies :)
I hope you also take part this week, you could win 2 fabulous Mo Manning stamps if you are this weeks challenge winner, this is the prize kindly donated by The Craft Barn this week!

Thanks for dropping by today, don't go anywhere though as I will have another post for you in just a minute ;)

Thank you Lisa & PaperWorks Co

Do you remember THIS POST?
Imagine my surprise when Lisa emailed me to let me know that I was one of the lucky winners for her sister Jayme's special RAK event!

And today I received these fabulously cute stamps...

They are made by PaperWorks Co
Say hello to Carlos, Ollie, Tommy, and Wallie from their Aqua Amigos Collection, aren't they adorable? Got to be some of the cutest images i've ever seen!

I'm gonna enjoy inking up these little beauties! :)

A HUGE THANK YOU to Lisa & PaperWorks Co, and another special hug for Jayme,
I'm so pleased that the whole RAK event was a huge success in sending some much needed love at such a difficult time for the whole family.
(((hugs)))

This week we are sponsored by Digital Delights by Louby Loo,
you could win $10 to spend in their online store if you are this weeks challenge winner ;)

Here is my card for this week...

The gorgeous papers were a freebie from a craft mag and I have had a lot of use from the pad, I think the designs are so pretty. They are by My Minds Eye and the pad is named 'Pretty Please Spring'
The cute lil' bear was in a set of 6 stamps that I bought from an auction site for around a fiver...bargain! :)
The sentiment is by Stampin Up and I layered it onto a scalloped circle (punch also by SU)
The flowers were also made using SU punches, I added a lil' flat back pearl to the centre of each flower.

As always, the rest of the amazing SS design team have some fabulous work to show you,
but don't take my word for it, go see for yourselves ;)

Sweet doodlin'

We want to see some doodling this week over at Sweet Stampin :)

I started by sponging a piece of cardstock, then got out my black marker & drew the cross-hatched design around the edge.
I doodled around the flowers and leaves too.

The wonderfully cute image is of course a Hanglar! :)
given to me by my lovely, kind friend Maya.
I've coloured her in with SU markers, certainly celery, apricot appeal & barely banana, her hair is creamy caramel, and finally blush blossom with a touch of pretty in pink for her cute face and cheeks.

The SU flowers and hardware were from my friend and fellow sweet stamper Emma (thank you again Emma)
The leaves were punched using a woodware punch
The sentiment is handwritten onto a circle of card that was lightly stamped first with a freebie stamp that spells 'love'
The backing paper is by Dovecraft.

Hope you like my card, you can see more beautiful work by visiting the Sweet Stampin DT members blogs! >>>

Have a wonderful weekend! xx

Mmmmmmmmm! Neopolitan Icecream!

That's what I think of when I look at this card :)
Shades of pinks, whites & browns...yummy!

This is my card for this weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday.

And this week you could win a whopping $25 to spend at Simon Says Stamp!

This gorgeous teddy image is by Stampavie, and was given to me by Terry, and isn't he adorable?
I coloured him in using distress inks and SU markers, adding a bit of glitz to the flowers with a glitter gel pen.
The pretty scalloped borders at the bottom of the card were made using my SU eyelet border punch.
The patterned papers are by Paper Cellar (I think)

I'm loving all the cards made by my fellow Sketch Saturday DT members this week,
be sure to go take a look for yourself! They are fabulous! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Stampin #29 - Boys and their Toys!

It's our first week with our brand new Design Team members this week over at Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog, and I must say, these ladies have got straight into it and produced the most gorgeous examples to show you all :)
Please go take a look yourself, their blogs can be found in my right sidebar >>>

Black Leaf Studios gave all of the DT a free download to use in their work this week.
The collection we were given is called Toy Transport, a selection of bright, cheerful images, sure to appeal to young and old alike.

Now, unfortunately, my temperamental printer finally decided to give up on me :(
It's been threatening to die on me for a while now so it didn't come as a huge shock to be honest.
My spare (not so good) printer is in the boot of our car, it was on route to be recycled, but our car also decided to give up on us, well actually it went with a bang! and is now in the garage having major repairs to it :(

My Mom printed this image for me, but I think her printer is in a moody too because the blue colour of the police car came out almost grey and had banded stripes across it.
Not my Mom's fault at all, I'm grateful that she printed the image so I could make my card.
still a pity though, so I coloured over the image with my bashful blue SU marker to give it a bit more colour.

Please don't be put off with my image, because the downloads are really top quality with bright vivacious colours

My mojo has left me this week, my brain is in a tizz with other things, so it's hard to concentrate at the mo.
Although I'm not entirely happy with this card, I am happier than I was when I first completed it.
This card had a different backing paper before I changed it to this 'Not Quite Navy' patterns pack paper.
Like I said though, I'm not entirely happy with it :(
So to see some beautiful, colourful and inspiring examples showing the best of what 'Toy Transport' has to offer, please go visit my fellow DT members blogs, their work is fantastic!

It's Paula's DT week!

This week is DT week over at Sketch Saturday, which means it's my week off :)
My talented friend Paula has made this weeks sketch for us, and it's a beauty!

Our sponsor this week is The Secret Crafter.
and Wendy is offering this weeks winner £10.00 to spend in her store! :)

Here is my card this week...

The gorgeous stamped image is of course a Magnolia, isn't she adorable?
Thank you Terry for sending her to me :)

I used my trusty SU markers to colour her in and used SU papers too, the blue is from the Bashful Blue patterns pack, the yellow is from the Tea Party collection.
The flowers were punched using a small retro flower punch and I added a pink pearlised bead to the centre of each one.
The sentiment is hand written.

I shall be sending this to my friends little girl, whose birthday is on the 11th June.

Thanks for looking!
If you want to see some stunning examples of cardmaking loveliness, then please go visit my fellow DT members blogs, their work always inspires me :)
