Love you cherry much!

I really like the simplicity of the card I made for this weeks challenge over at Sweet Stampin, which is called 'feeling fruity', to use fruit somewhere on your project.
To start off I used a whisper white card base that was punched/corner rounded on the right side only.
I used a sheet of Real Red double-sided paper from my SU patterns pack, one side is plain the other patterned. I used my scallop edge punch to create a cute border around the patterned piece of paper, and then used my scalloped circle punch to punch out a border to surround the cherry image which was stamped in real red & old olive using a stamp from my 'Tart & Tangy' stamp set.
The sentiment is handwritten.

TFL :)
Please stop by the rest of the DT for more inspiration, their work is amazing!
Have a great weekend xx

Sketch Saturday #86

This weeks sketch over at Sketch Saturday is being sponsored by my friend and fellow DT member, Emma Lockley. Emma is a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator based in the West Midlands.

Please click on the logo above to go to her blog.

Here is my card for this week...

The papers used are by Stampin Up, from their 'Sweet Always' collection they are double sided papers, the 2 pieces that are matted onto pink pirouette cardstock are the 2 sides from the same sheet. The pale pink dotty background piece is from a different sheet but is still from the same collection. I used the same dotty paper to punch out my flowers using the boho blossoms punch, and the 5 petal flower punch. The flowers were sponged with regal rose ink and finished with pearlised gems in the centre of each flower and white martha stewart pine branch leaves.
The image I have used is from a set of 6 teddybear stamps that I bought off an auction site so I do not know the 'brand'. It's such a cute image isn't it? I coloured the image with SU inks and a blender pen to match the papers used.
The sentiment is part of a circular stamp by Catslife Press Rubber Stamps.

Thank you for stopping by, i'll be back in an hour with post #2 for today ;)

sweet stampin colour challenge

I'm back with post #2 for the day.
Over at Sweet Stampin this week, we have a colour challenge for you...

We'd like you to make a card or any craft project using at least 3 of the colours above (or colours as close as possible to those above)

Here is my card...

I started with a Certainly Celery card base,
I added a piece of Stampin Up's 'Tea Party' designer series paper in the lovely colour of Almost Amethyst, which I also punched at the bottom with my SU eyelet border punch. I added a pale pink ribbon/bow to the front (ribbon not from SU)
The image & sentiment are from SU's 'Fun & Fast Notes' stamp set, I coloured the image with certainly celery, almost amethyst, pretty in pink & rose red SU inks with a blender pen.

This is a lovely colour combination, I hope that you are able to join us this week.
Please stop by my fellow DT members blogs to see their fabulous work using this combo, the links to their blogs are also in my sidebar, over there >>>>>
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend! xx

Everything except the 3 daisy flower embellishments are from Stampin Up.
Both the floral & stripy patterned papers are from the same DSP collection called 'Tea Party'.
The scallop edge punch was used to add the whisper white scalloped border to the stripy pieces.
The image is from my newest SU stamp set 'A Flower for All Seasons' and I coloured it in with SU inks to match the DSP.
The sentiment is from the 'Best Yet' Stamp set.

TFL, To see some awesome cards made by the DT, please stop by their blogs, you can find the links to each of them in my sidebar (over there >>>)

Sweet Stampin #7

This weeks challenge over at Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog is entitled ' Family'
To make a card or project for a family member, be it a thank you, an anniversary or birthday etc.
And my good friend Emma Lockley is also sponsoring this months prize too!
You could win a pack of yummy Washington Apple 12" x 12" Double Sided Designer Papers :)

Here is my card... a birthday card for my Hubby, his birthday is on the 11th Jan.

everything used is by Stampin Up, except for the lettering for the word 'HUSBAND', which was hand drawn, although they were coloured in with SU inks to match.
I used a kraft cardstock base, not quite navy cardstock and checked DSP.
I used my spiral punch to add interest to a strip of very vanilla cardstock for the right side edge.
The image and sentiment is from the 'fun and fast notes' stamp set, and coloured with SU inks.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, thanks for stopping by xx

First challenge of 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I do hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all a happy & healthy 2010 too.

I have had no internet for almost 2 weeks :(
All fixed now though! and I need to post about the first challenge for 2010 for Sketch Saturday :)
This weeks challenge is hosted by the lovely Simonne, her first DT week for SS.
Simonne has designed a beautiful sketch for us all, so without further ado, here is my card...

I have used this gorgeous designer paper from Stampin Up called 'Bella Bleu'.
The image is of course a lovely Gorjuss Girl image.
The flowers were stamped first with lovely lilac ink using a stamp from the SU 'one of a kind' stamp set, then punched out with my SU boho blossoms punch.
The leaves were punched using a woodware ash leaf punch.
Sentiment is from SU 'fun and fast notes' stamp set.
Ribbon and corners from my stash.
